OUR STORY

Music 4 All Seasons provides and offers a large range of different services. This includes event musicians and music lessons. Owner and founder Joanna Lee has been the organizer, instructor and foundational musician catering to all clients, while working well with colleagues and business partners. Most notably, Music 4 All Seasons is closely affiliated with Artemis Musicians’ Society.

Ms. Lee has been providing live music services for over 15 years. Beginning as a string ensemble, this Canadian based business quickly grew to include a talented roster of professional musicians that cater the perfect musical ensemble to each and every event. Ensemble options include classical string ensembles (i.e., duos, trios and quartets), jazz ensembles, solo instrumentalists (i.e., pianists, harpists) and piano ensembles just to name a few.

In addition to the numerous weddings, private and corporate parties, Music 4 all Seasons will provide musical entertainment for every and all occasions, all year round (i.e., Christmas parties, birthday parties, marriage proposals and other special events). They offer a variety of different genres such as classical, jazz, ethnic and pop music, either instrumentally, or with vocals.

What sets Music 4 All Seasons’ roster of professional musicians apart from others is the individual attention they give to each event. Song requests in advance are never a problem. Our musicians have learned and performed hundreds of songs for weddings and corporate events. While most couples prefer a more traditional genre for their wedding (i.e., Pachelbel’s Canon in D, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring or Ave Maria), others prefer a more contemporary sound (i.e., Por Una Cabeza, Moon River, Summertime or Over the Rainbow (Israel Kamakawiwo’ole)).

In the past, clients have requested songs like Viva La Vida, Lucky (Jason Mraz), Despacito and Stay with me (Sam Smith). Our musicians have performed genres such as Bollywood, Irish and even Scottish Music! Whatever music suits the style of your event, Music 4 All Seasons will easily adapt to help create a perfectly memorable experience and whatever you request at your next engagement.

Music 4 All Seasons serve both Western and Eastern Canada. This includes Alberta (Edmonton and Calgary), British Columbia, Quebec (Montreal), and Ontario (Toronto). In British Columbia we have a roster from the Okanagan, Greater Vancouver Area, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and Whistler.

Testimonials

Joanna has been my violin teacher for over two years. Her teaching style and human qualities make her the best violin teacher anyone can ever hope for.  She genuinely cares for students and does everything in her power to motivate them. As an adult, I picked up the violin with very little knowledge about music, but Joanna turned my interest in the violin into a passion. The violin is now a huge part of my life, and it’s mainly due to Joanna’s commitment to my success.

We hired Joanna to play for us at a small, intimate graveside ceremony

Joanna was very easy to work with: patient and understanding. Her music suggestions were well-suited to our family. At the gathering itself, she played beautifully and was sensitive to our needs on a very emotional day.

Review from an afternoon concert in Wellington, New Zealand:

Joanna Lee comes here after study at McGill in Montreal where she has been specializing in Brahms. So it was no surprise to hear such confident and polished performances of these two pieces from opposite ends of Brahms’s career.

The FAE Sonata (‘Frei aber einsam’ – free but alone, intended as a tribute to violinist Joseph Joachim) was a 1853 collaboration between Brahms aged 20, Schumann just before his mental collapse and the forgotten Albert Dietrich, who wrote the sonata’s long first movement. Schumann wrote the slow movement and the Finale. The Scherzo is from Brahms, already so characteristic, and Joanna Lee played it with a firmness and maturity that indeed demonstrated an intuitive instinct for Brahms.

There was time for only one of the two movements scheduled from the (four movements of the) third violin sonata – the scherzo – Un poco presto e con sentimento. However, it is a substantial piece and was a highly convincing demonstration of a major talent. Again the two players found a singular rapport, with careful placing of emphatic notes and violin chords, all its impulsiveness managed in flawless ensemble.
